Power Line Supervisor- By Meco Instruments Pvt Ltd


Meco Power Line Supervisor is the outcome of the Research & Development effort put in the power management field with particular emphasis on electrical energy monitoring and control
for effective management of Power and Energy. Till today, the monitoring of electrical processes and systems is usually carried out by measuring the electrical parameters with a separate dedicated instrument for each parameter. The values are than logged by an operator who then manually analyses these parameters and establishes operative and alarm conditions.

The Power Line Supervisor innovates upon this conventional solution. It performs automatically the calculations with a single compact instrument in real time of almost 83 electrical parameters in local as well as remote operational modes with absolute reliability and speed. New and extremely compact, the supervisor is available in two cost effective models. The Spv series offers considerable ease of operation and creates an immediate operator-instrument dialogue. Fitted with a standard RS -485 serial output (an in -built feature )for direct connection to a PC with twisted bipolar screened cable with a maximum length of 1200 meters, the instrument offers the remote monitoring of all the qualities displayed  which can then be grouped into tables, graphs, time trends or database by means of the software (Spv-view). In the parameter setting mode, it is possible to select the address of each instrument (Upto 247 such instruments can be addressed)

There are 4 keys on the front panel which help to select the CT ratio, PT ratio, Serial Address and Decimal Point. The instrument takes measurements in TRMS mode (True Effective Value). It displays current, voltage, peak power and timevalues and in presence  of harmonics it makes it possible to obtain the fundamental and residual (distorted) values of current and voltage in each phase. All these are displayed in 43 self-explanatory pages by a board back-lit screen.
