The second edition of the ET Edge Infra Focus Summit was focussed on the theme of Integrated Infra: Equal Growth Across Geographies with a full day conference highlighting the excellence achieved in the infrastructure sector with an action plan to realise vision of cohesive infrastructure growth.
Today the new Indian government has earmarked a budget of $25 billion for infrastructure development across all sectors, emphasizing important role of this sector in creating employment opportunities, mobilizing resources and therefore reviving the economic growth. Further, policy initiatives such as opening up the bonds markets and proposed InvITs and REITS have reinstated investor interest in the infrastructure sector, by displaying clear intent of fast tracking development. Recognising the significance of the sector as crucial for a nation’s growth, the summit aimed to bring together key stakeholders to deliberate on the current challenges through multiple focused panel discussions
The theme of “Integrated Infra: Equal Growth Across Geographies ‘”, the conference aims to bring together visionaries, industry influencers, strategy planners and implementers on a single platform to discuss critical issues including unification of various industry verticals for stronger development, environmental and regulatory clearances, newer models of PPP, securing finances that will help industry move to the next level. The special address was given by Dr. Raman Singh, Hon'ble Chief Minister Chhattisgarh and the evening session was addressed by Shri Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India. The summit also focused on various panel discussions on topics such as: Planning 100 Smart Cities: Ideas & Economic Impact, Pan India Multi-modal Transportation System, Integrated Resource Management System and Bringing Vision to Reality through PPP.
