The premiere edition of the International Trade Fair for Innovative Energy InEnerg is already behind us!
The International Trade Fair for Innovative Energy InEnerg was one of the biggest events in Wrocław in the first week of March 2014. This three-day meeting of the industry leaders, organized on 4- 6 March 2014 at the Municipal Stadium, gathered a number of visitors interested in obtaining energy from renewable energy sources and in energy-efficient building.
The three-day event organized in Wrocław started with the opening ceremony on Tuesday, March 4th.The first part of the event was inaugurated with a speech by Małgorzata Bartkowski from REECO Poland: The International Trade Fair for Innovative Energy InEnerg has its premiere this year. Its aim, as well as the aim of the accompanying events, is to show how easy and ecological generating, providing and using the energy of the future may become.
Wojciech Kaczkowski, the vice-president of the Department of Infrastructure and Economy, greeted the guests gathered in the VIP Area at the Municipal Stadium on behalf of the Mayor of Wrocław. He said: I hope that this trade fair, which is held for the first time today, will be permanently marked in the city cultural calendar. Energy is the heart of any economy."
40 exhibitors - Polish and international -presented their products at the fair show displays. What dominated at the stands was solar cells and heat pumps. Wind energy also had its representatives at the fair. Presented solutions included thermographic cameras used during thermal insulation of buildings, as well as a light electric bicycle moving at the speed of 30 km/h. A number of people, including foreign guests - mostly from the region of the Oder and the Lusatian Neisse (Germany, Czech Republic) - visited the exhibition in three days.
The InEnerg trade fair was rich in multiple trade events. Despite the difficulties that the Polish RES is currently facing, the conferences turned out very popular among local government representatives, investors, installers, architects, along with farmers and potential prosumers (interested in obtaining energy for their own needs and for sale). During the first two days of the fair, majority of visitors gathered at the meetings concerning photovoltaics and smart grids.
The last day of the fair was fully devoted to presenting the benefits of using renewable energy on farms. The reason? Fertile lands, relatively short winters and warm summer months make Lower Silesia a typically agricultural land, with a huge potential for the development of renewable energy sources. This is noticed not only by REECO Poland representatives (the fair organizer) but also by those who represent the Polish countryside. Although the city of Wrocław is not an agrarian area, the fair turned particularly popular among agricultural societies. Małgorzata Bartkowski from REECO Poland says: Today we can fairly say that including the Agriculture Day in the program of international event was the right decision.
There are multiple signs that InEnerg will stay in the capital of Lower Silesia for longer. Małgorzata Bartkowski emphasizes: Working on the first edition of this trade fair was not an easy job. Considering the problems the sector faces, there were a lot of resignations on the side of exhibitors. This, however, did not discourage us from organizing an industry meeting which will bring tangible benefits to everyone involved. We gave it a try and feel very satisfied. Next year we are planning to continue with the InEnerg project. The interest in RES in Poland is huge. Visitors at our trade fair increasingly learn that clean technologies are not necessarily expensive. Market competition is increasing; therefore the falling prices are becoming more affordable for an average client. Manufacturers are forced to seek ways for cheaper and more efficient renewable energy production. In the western countries, e.g. Germany, market novelties are not that noticeable anymore. However, in Poland it is a fairly new industry, so the pace of its development is really fast. In order to provide exhibitors, experts, media representatives and visitors with even broader opportunities to explore the specific character of the industry and learn about technological novelties, today I would like to invite you to the next trade fair organized by REECO Poland. The closest opportunity for this will be RENEXPO Poland taking place on 23-25 September in Warsaw.
The organizer of InEnerg 2014 is REECO Poland, part of German REECO Group, which has been organizing trade fairs and conferences related to energy and energy-efficient construction since 1997. It has been present in the Polish trade fair arena since 2011. Organized by REECO, International Trade Fair for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency RENEXPO® Poland is getting more and more popular year by year. Despite its short history, it has already earned a reputation of one of the most important industry events in the country.
