New Delhi, India 19 April 2012. Tognum brand MTU Onsite Energy, the power generation specialist, successfully installed an AoE20V4000L62 gas genset for U.P. Twiga Fibers Glass Ltd., the leading manufacturer of glass wool insulation in India in February 2012. The project marks the important entry of MTU Onsite Energy into the North Indian market, solidifying MTU Onsite Energy’s presence across India after successful projects in West and South India.
U.P Twiga chose MTU Onsite Energy’s AoE20V4000L62 gas genset to provide power generation solutions for their Glass Wool Insulation Manufacturing Unit. “The MTU Onsite Energy AoE20V4000L62 gas genset, with a power rating of 1948kWe, 11kV, 50Hz, was selected amongst stiff competition from several engine suppliers for its industry leading reliability, high block load capacity, superior delivery and after sales support provided by Enerzea Power (formerly known as Maxwatt Energy) MTU Onsite Energy’s service dealer in India. Local distributor knowledge and experience in the gas genset business was a major factor contributing to the customer‘s selection of MTU Onsite Energy as their provider for gas generators,” explained PS Garg, Chief Executive, Enerzea Power. The engine runs continuously at 80 –90% of total load capacity to power up the factory’s full load and has performed strongly without any trippings.
MTU Onsite Energy has experienced considerable growth in India’s gas power generation market in the last two years, installing over 20MW in natural and biogas applications. After successful gas genset installations in West and South India, the completion of the U.P Twiga marks MTU Onsite Energy’s entry into the North Indian gas genset market. MTU Onsite Energy has an active presence throughout India and is strongly positioned to continue providing power generation support to India’s booming manufacturing industry.
The MTU Onsite Energy AoE20V4000L62 gas genset selected by U.P Twiga was assembled in Germany and designed for tropical Asian conditions, specifically for high humidity and high temperatures to ensure reliability in India’s challenging climate. In addition to reliability and engine performance, U.P. Twiga requires 24/7 support from a certified local service dealer with extensive knowledge and experience in installation and after sales service. Enerzea Power has since successfully commissioned and loaded the engine and continues to provide the customer with consistent support and assistance. MTU Onsite Energy will showcase its latest generation of MTU Onsite Energy AoE20V4000L62 gas genset at Powergen India 2012 from 19 to 21 April. The MTU Onsite Energy booth #1402 will be located in Hall 12A of the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India.
