Book Details |
| The Report focuses on Independent Power Projects
in India.
Since the release of the last IPP report, there have
been many noteworthy developments in the segment. Many
of the projects have now been officially abandoned.
There has been no progress on a number of others. At
the same time, about 20 new projects have been proposed.
About half a dozen projects have been commissioned.
Another half a dozen are on the verge of financial closure.
There are others who have not yet lost hope. There have
also been changes in equity ownership, assignment of
escrows, revision of PPAs and rebidding of EPC contracts.
Despite the subdued sentiment in the sector, around
30 to 40 projects have shown some movement in recent
months. |
